Welcome to my Crib

Ever wonder why calling it a 'crib' makes it sound cooler? Because it's like a 'baby crib'? That's just dumb.

Anyway, where did I leave off...

I had a pretty decent day at work yesterday. I got a lot done and I think one of the older ladies, Eunice, thinks I'm an okay kid so with her trust she let me handle breakable things. Thankfully I didn't get a concussion. Last night Mike was home a bit earlier than usual so we got to finally unpack the rest of the house and have a nice evening together.

Today I woke up to the sound of a donkey's cry. That just sounds wrong when I say it like that..but I mean literally, there was a donkey crying outside of my window. You wouldn't believe it but there is a llama farm across from our house, and a donkey lives there. (That's not a Mad Lib.) It's the coolest thing on Earth. I got inspired by the misty haze on the mountain top so I dressed warm and took a walk down the highway into town.

It was a fantastic walk - saw a lot of great sights, much like on my first day here. It's been officially one week, so it's creepy that I did the same thing today as I did last Tuesday. I never even thought about that. Well, little did I know that this time I would destroy my knee by choosing to walk back UP the mountain. Stupid choice.

It was about a 3.5 - 4 hour walk into town and back, but I had stopped at stores in between. I also stopped to take pictures. I hope my iPhone (product placement) can somewhat capture the essence of what I get to see everyday on my usual route.

When I got home I cleaned up and collapsed onto my bed to watch a good three episodes of my favorite TV show: Supernatural. I'm hooked. Mike & Jessica returned home shortly after and Brodie came to sleep the night too. I've got the day off again tomorrow so I'll probably dedicate it to changing my driver's license and doing laundry. I looked into the drivers license thing today and it looks like I won't need to take another road test. Thank God, because I really didn't want to parallel park.

Well, not much left to add. I'll post these pictures and check in again soon. I miss you all a ton.

Love xo
