I woke up early this morning, and found myself in excruciating pain due to my severe, self-inflicted exercise yesterday. I managed to shower and found a blonde wig on the counter so I played with that in the mirror for a while. Then I drove Jessica to the doctor's office before lunch. She lent me her wheels and I boogied on down (who even says 'boogie' anymore?) to the mall. I searched high and low for bedsheets but nothing called out my name. I ended up grabbing myself a garbage can and some pillows (odd mix) which were both ON SALE by the way.
Next I journeyed to all the quilt places, bedding places, and furniture places throughout the mall and plaza. After all of the hustle & bustle I chose to zip down to Home Outfitters (product placement) where I found a handy closet organizer, hamper and TA-DA - the perfect bed set. It was a zebra print cream colored combo... complete with bedskirt, 2 bedsheets, 2 pillow cases, 2 pillow covers, 3 cushions (zebra theme) and a fantastically cozy comforter. Guess what? Only for the price of $XXX.xx GASP! As I was eying the bedding, a woman who worked at the store told me that the tiny red dot sticker on the front meant that it was on sale for HALF PRICE!!! I couldn't believe it. What a steal. So I ended up with that as well.
I carried onto Wal-Mart where I ended up finding a perfect desk for my room at a very low cost. The only problem was that it was very heavy & awkward so I flagged down two teenage boys who took it to the car and loaded it in. (Don't worry they worked there, I'm not a slave-driver.) Another thing is that the color of the desk doesn't suit my room well at all, but I'll get over it. It's a perfect desk. I love desk.
Anyway I put my Subway gift card from Kent & Kenda + Stovels to good use and bought dinner for the fam jam. AKA 1 footling turkey bacon ranch w/ everything but olives & jalapeños (don't worry Laura, at least there were banana peppers) and a 6" cold cut combo exactly the same (but W/ jalapeños, minus the ranch sauce and bacon) WITH EVERYTHING on top. So freaking delicious. And I still have enough for another meal!!!
Needless to say today was very good. Jess and I unpacked more stuff and set up the living room & kitchen. Pics to come later. I started putting together my desk but I'll leave it for tomorrow.
Oh yeah - I left out the fact that I got a new cell number today. If you'd like it, fire me an email so I won't get stalked by crazies over the World Wide Web..
Tomorrow is my last day off before I start my full time job at Hallmark so I'm going to get some picture frames & sticky tac so I can finish setting up my room. Oh, hangers too. (Note to self.)
I'll also finish setting up that awkward desk of mine.
Anyway that's the Boring Bree Report for the day... just letting you know it was a good one.
