Home, Home on the.... Orchard?

That was a sad title. I'm a little bit overtired. My day began at 4:30 am, in which I woke to shove one extra last pair of underwear into my fully-loaded suitcase(s). I said an emotional feeling goodbye to my family and jetted off to the (hehe pun) new Winnipeg airport to be the first of the HawkinsKosoSilva crew to experience it. (Lovely place by the way.) I nearly missed my connecting flight from Vancouver to Kelowna and found myself as a chubby kid chasing after the ice cream truck for too many blocks. I was the last person to get on the plane and they shut the doors behind me. All because my first plane had a tiny weeny problem with the oxygen masks. Who even uses those things anyway?

My sister in law Jessica greeted me at the airport and went straight to my new living quarters. Beautiful townhome. Pics to come after I settle. Garage, main floor living room combo dining room and large kitchen, accompanied my powder room and hardwood flowering. We've got a front door porch patio and an upstairs where all three bedrooms reside. Oh yeah, I have Realtor speak. I have one of the larger rooms with my own separate bathroom . I was lucky enough to have my Grandma Judy (my brother's grandma) to have provided me a comfy double bed. That was too incredible.

After I unpacked, I walked down the mountain and marched through town for a good 2.5 hours on foot. (Redundant sentence.) I walked all the way across the city and stopped to pick up the essentials (e.g. toilet paper) then stopped by my brother's a job site.

I made a pitstop on my way home to visit my 3-year-old nephew, Landan at his mom's house. When I got home I unpacked, ate dinner with Mike and Jessica and caught up.

That's basically beta for beta what I did today. Now I am sure I'm sleeping with my eyes open. Tomorrow I'll go grocery shopping for the first real time and grab a desk for my room. I'm pretty excited to start nesting. I'm also speaking in robot like sentences because I'm exhausted.

All I can say is: Day One - busy. Emotional. But I'm glad I'm here and starting up a fresh lifestyle. I miss everyone back home so incredibly much. To be truly honest.... I wanted to turn around and go home before I even got through Winnipeg security. But now that I'm here I can a future here at least for the time being.

I miss you guys. All of you. ESPECIALLY YOU. <3

I'll update a lot more exciting/better things tomorrow once my brain recharges.
